Undiagnosed Insulin Resistance was the Root Cause of Weight Gain & Skin Discolouration!

A 20-year-old young girl who was suffering from recent weight gain (over the last 6 months), darkened discolouration at the back of the neck, inner thighs and under arms, also had complaints of cystic acne, and thickened white discharge (with a history of a vaginal yeast infection).

No investigations had been conducted for her and she had simply been treated with antibiotics and topical steroids for her skin. After the antibiotic course, she even started developing severe nausea and the acne on her skin increased instead of decreased.

As a conscious youngster, she was desperately looking for a solution to her weight and pigmentation. She got in touch with our healers.

Certain blood tests were recommended and upon results, the Doctor realised that she was insulin resistant and that her infection was of a fungal origin!

I was diagnosed with Diabetes in May 2012, after feeling very tired in the afternoons, even falling asleep which was not great as I couldn’t work properly. I did not have any classic symptoms of diabetes like thirst or going to the toilet – I was just tired. My husband ordered me to go to the Doctor and I was given some mouth drops and sent on my way. Since my teenage years, I’ve had full, thick hair, always long till my hips. Since I dint do any extra hair care, I took it for granted. Every other month, I would dye it a deeper shade of black. I’ll mention that I am 39 year old male. For me, the severe symptoms started a year ago. I had acid reflux on and off for probably 10 years if not longer. I started using medication H2 blockers and PPI’s. At first worked wonderful for regular heartburn. But the more I used it, I kept needing higher dosage. To the point where I was taking 4 a day. I am not a laid back person. I never have been. I worry and get stressed and can be quite negative sometimes. Last year, this started to get slowly worse. I feel extremely fortunate that I found out about my hypercholestrolemia before something major happened to me, and I hope to avoid heart disease with prevention. My father had his first heart attack at age 36 and died from one at 51. I had thought his problems were due to lifestyle. He was a smoker and didn’t have the healthiest diet.
